OTP Copenhagen is proud to participate in the 10th edition of West Bund Art & Design, Shanghai, with a duo presentation by Anu Ramdas (DK) and Keith Boadwee (US).
Anu Ramdas (b. 1980, Sønderborg; DK)
Anu Ramdas is a Copenhagen-based artist and clairvoyant. Ramdas first began drawing as a way to depict an immediate sense of feeling. During periods of meditation, the artist would begin to feel her body manifesting itself terms of specific forms and colours. Picking up a pencil and paper immediately after these sessions, Ramdas began to depict abstract self-portraits that combined a personal self-awareness with a universal otherworldly aesthetic.
Keith Boadwee (b. 1961, Mississippi; USA)
Keith Boadwee first began working with performance documentary and photography in the late 1980s before establishing a solo studio painting practice in the 2010s. Boadwee’s paintings often combine the aesthetics of cartoon humour with a reflective and self-searching sensibility. His work is often concerned with the psychology of domesticity and an interest in the relationship between geometric forms and spirituality.
